Consumer Protection Act 1987
Amendment to Section 6 of The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Act 2002
Under the requirements of the above Acts, we can provide you with information regarding the storage, handling, use and potential health hazard of the DAD mailboxes.
Mailboxes are made of electrogalvenised steel, or stainless steel (grade 316), with some aluminium components. They can be powder coated (100% polyester). No health hazard is created by any components of a mailbox.
Mailboxes or bank of mailboxes should be handled with care and stored in a suitable environment to avoid damage to the finished product.
The weight of a bank of mailboxes unit may be in excess of 25kg. Suitable handling arrangements and assessments should be made available to reduce the risk associated with manual handling.
No individual door component, or a mailbox unit as a whole, poses a fire hazard during storage.
MAINTENANCE
To clean your mailbox use a non abrasive shampoo and a soft cloth and rinse off with warm water. A car wax can be used to polish the box. Graphite oil or spray can be used to lubricate the lock, contact your local DAD dealer for further information and purchasing.
